ICY was launch at 20.00 UTC time on 8th of November and 100M tokens were minted. This is the total supply, no new tokens can be minted.

04.11.2021 - Prelaunch blogs (3/4) - Our RNG and Burnicy game

Random Number Generator

Problem with all the online and crypto raffles is that participants need to fully trust the organizer. If someone organizes a $10k raffle, how do you know it is fair or if it is actually happening? Usually you can't see how the winner was chosen, you can't see the prize or who it was paid. Whole raffle is based on the fact that you just need to trust that the organizer is honest and the raffle is fair.

IcyCRO team is probably the most trusted and well known team in the Cronos, but we wanted to make a system that you don't need to trust us.

We did something that no-one else has tried before. We let the blockchain decide the ticket numbers and winning numbers. We tested this system with 290k+ transactions during the Cassini testing and it worked perfectly.

Benefits of blockchain based raffle:

Every transaction is visible, so everyone can see who participated and what their ticket numbers were.
TxHash is permanent and can't be deleted or changed.
Winning number can be checked from the chain.
Payments for the winners will be visible in the chain also.

Burnicy game

Like the name says, this is a game where you burn ICY tokens to have a chance to win more ICY tokens. As the RTP (Return to Player) is 112%-113.5%, playing the game is a good investment on average and if you don't win, at least some ICYs are burned and the value of the remaining ICYs will go up.

How does the game work:

Send 1k or 10k ICYs to our Burn Wallet. Last 3 numbers of your TxHash is your ticket number.
On the 15th of each month, we will burn all the ICYs from the Burn Wallet.
Txhash of the burning transaction will show the winning number. Last three numbers again.
Winners will have 10 days to claim their winnings.
Winners will get their ICYs.

How much you can win in the Burnicy game:

We have 10M ICYs reserved for the Burnicy game.
RTP% for the ICY game is 112%-113.5%.
1k ICY bet: First 2 ticket numbers: 100k ICY, all 3 numbers 120k ICY.

Staking means locking your ICY tokens for at least two years to get benefits and monthly chance to win part of the CRO Jackpot. When you have collected 100k ICYs, you can stake them by sending them to our staking wallet, which will be announced later.

CRO Jackpot

Starting from 15th of December, every month stakers will have a chance to win part of the CRO Jackpot pool which is expected to be from 50k to 100k CROs.

How do the CROs come to the jackpot pool:

100% of commissions and fees from our validators are added to the jackpot.
100% of the CROs we earn from our projects go to the jackpot.
100% of the CROs from our sponsors are added to the jackpot.
100% of the CROs earned from the presale go to the jackpot.
100% of CROs donated to our project go to the jackpot.

On the 15th of each month, Cronos chain will show if there is a winner. If there are no winners, our jackpot pool just keeps growing. If the jackpot is won, this is how it is shared:

60% is saved as a seed fund for the next jackpot.
12% is given to the winner (all three numbers correct).
18% is shared between everyone else with the first two numbers correct.
10% goes for the server fees.

02.11.2021 - Prelaunch blogs (1/4) - Mission

We believe that Crypto.com will grow fast in the next few years and CRO will be one of the top cryptos. Success of the Crypto.org Mainnet / Cronos will be important for CRO's future and we will do our best to help.

There is a myth in the crypto world that completely free decentralization is always a good thing and leads to the best results. This clearly isn't true. In a completely free system the strongest companies will control everything, block new companies from the market and this will hurt the customer.

In Crypto.org this has also been clearly shown for a long time already. If we don't count the validators that IcyCRO has boosted in, it's already over 120 days since the last new community validator has joined. It doesn't mean there haven't been any new validators. During this time 15+ validators have joined, but they were created by groups that had multiple validators already. If this continues like this, these groups can control 40%+ of the validators, which could cause serious issues for the delegators and for the mainnet.

Some of these groups are here just to abuse the system and consider delegators as prey to be scammed for all the CROs possible. Others just copy-paste their validator to a new quite low quality server and give us a new clone validator asking for 10% fees and giving nothing for the community.

This is where we join the game. ICY token isn't even launched yet, but we have already boosted four community validators to the top100 and we keep doing this 1-2 times per month to keep the bottom end of the top100 list full. We will review every candidate wishing to join the mainnet and boost the ones that actually give some value for the community and delegators. We call this "Controlled Decentralisation".

We certainly will have our hands full with community boosters, ICY jackpots and Burnicy games, but we also have other plans. There will be NFTs. There will be oaken tokens. We will be working with the best Dexes and helping them as much as we can. We may expand elsewhere in the Cosmos in validator business. And we may do things we can't even imagine at this point as the possibilities are limitless.

Today we have our second community booster event.

It's already over 120 days since last fresh community validator joined the top100 without our help, so there is a need for these events. Other option is just watch new scam validators joining every 14 days, which are hurting delegators and ruining the reputation of Crypto.org.

This time event starts 20.00 UK time and ends in 10 minutes or when the target is reached.

Now we will boost dWeb Guide, which is a good target for our help:

They have been been active over 1.5 years.
They collected 589k CROs themselves and just need the final push to top100. They have been waiting just under the line for over month now.

Today we have our first community booster event.

Mainnet's current problem is that no new community validators have joined in last months and new validators that that have been launched have been very harmful for the delegators. You can read more about it from here:

01.09.2021 - Launch of the IcyCRO.org validator

Today is time for the first project of ICY Team and we are launching a validator to Crypto.org chain. This will be one of ours ways to grow the CRO Jackpot that can be won monthly in 2022.

We will drop at least 700k ICYs to the people who participate to this project and help us to launch the validator. This ICY drop will of course happen after the launch of the token in Q4/2021.

Who is eligible:

A: Everyone who had at least 1k CROs delegated to Finland or Jerry's Pool on 15th of August. You need to use the same address for this delegations also.

B: Everyone who follows us in Twitter at this moment (77 people). If you aren't part of group A, then PM us in Twitter with your CRO address so we know you are eligible.

How many ICYs you can get depends on how much you delegate to IcyCRO.org today between 18.00 and 18.30 UK time:

10k CRO = 10k ICY
20k CRO = 20k ICY
50k CRO = 30k ICY
100k CRO = 40k ICY

If there aren't enough eligible delegations during the first 30 minutes, this offer continues until 700k ICYs are claimed.

26.08.2021 - Project ICY and our plans.

This is the first time I am writing a blog so let's see how this goes.

Crypto.org mainnet has a huge potential and we are big fans of it. Which is the reason we started our own validator immediately in March 2021 to have a low fee, high quality and safe validator for our own CROs and CROs of our friends. It was still a bit surprise that we are already one of the most popular community validators together with Jerry's Pool.

Crypto.org chain has been running quite well for the first five months and 2M blocks, but there has been some issues with the validators. CDC / Bison Trails started in March with 9 validators, but they have increased the amount already to 14 as there haven't been enough high quality community validators available.

During the past few months we haven't seen hardly any new community validators joining as the amount of CROs needed is too high. This isn't good news for decentralization and or the health of the network.

Our project ICY's first step is to launch a validator to the CRO mainnet. All the the fees earned from the validator will go to the jackpot pool together with the CROs from our sponsors.

Everyone who participates to the project will earn ICY tokens. After you collect and stake 100k ICYs you will have a chance to win part the CRO Jackpot, which we hope to reach 50k+ CROs during 2022.

Our first 50 stakers will also get a Golden Ticket NFT, highest interest rate and the best VIP benefits for some of the future projects. If you are slower in the beginning, we still have 200 Silver Ticket NFTs for our next stakers. Benefits are smaller than for Golden tickets, but still excellent.
